Charles Baker has been involved in public education for 37 years. He began his career in West Virginia as a Middle School Social Studies teacher. He was selected for an administrative position in 1985 having since served as an Elementary and Middle School Principal, Director of Federal Programs, Assistant Superintendent, and then Superintendent. Charles was employed as the Superintendent of the Bentworth School District in 2006.
Mr. Baker completed his undergraduate degree at West Liberty State College in West Virginia. He hold’s a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and a Superintendent’s Certificate from West Virginia University. Charles also received his Letter of Eligibility for Superintendents from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. He is an active participant in the The Forum Of Western Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators (PASA), the South Hills Area School District Association (SHASDA) and the Washington County Superintendents’ Association.
Mr. Baker and his wife, Sheryl, reside in Wellsburg, WV. They have four children, Monica, Brian, Andrea, and Lindsey. He enjoys many outdoor sports and vacationing in Florida.
