Dear High School Students, Parents, and Guardians:
The summer is approaching very quickly and the 2014-2015 school year will be ending soon. We sincerely hope that the year has been successful and productive. I look forward to continuing to work with you and all members of the Bentworth School District community as the principal at Bentworth High School. I had the pleasure of performing my student teaching responsibilities at the high school under the supervision of Mr. Chris Amos during the 1995-1996 school year. I knew then that this was a special place to work, and I’m excited to be back where I started my career in education.
We encourage students to take advantage of the many new experiences and opportunities provided for them as students at the high school. Expectations are high for all students to be successful and support is available for those experiencing difficulty. To be successful, students must attend regularly, be a participant in class and extracurricular activities, and be a responsible student with regard to preparation and homework. We need parental support to reinforce a positive attitude about learning.
Parents are always encouraged to stay in touch with the school, and especially with their child’s teachers. Each teacher has a specific email address. Email addresses are available on the district website and students are informed of their teachers’ email address as well. “E-Schoolbook” is an online program for you to access your child’s/children’s information (grades, days of absence, etc). Please call the school for more information regarding this feature.
