Bentworth School District Wellness Committee
The Bentworth School District Wellness Committee is committed to fostering a school environment that promotes the health and well-being of all students, families, and staff. In partnership with the School Board, we aim to support student wellness through a holistic approach that includes nutritious meals, comprehensive nutrition education, and opportunities for regular physical activity.
Our mission is to create a supportive framework across Bentworth Elementary, Middle, and High Schools that empowers students to develop lifelong healthy habits. By providing the necessary resources, structure, and guidance, we strive to ensure wellness is integrated into the daily educational experience and culture of our district.
The committee currently meets twice per year (with additional quarterly meetings as needed) to review and update the District Wellness Policy (Policy 246). We also monitor wellness goals and evaluate ongoing health and wellness programs throughout the district.
